It has been over 4 years now that Dirty Maria exploded onto Toronto’s thriving rock music scene. The members of Dirty Maria have forged their unique sound by fusing the different styles that influence them to make their sound edgy, sexy and definitely latin. The band, like Toronto represents a hybrid mix of cultures.: Mexico Argentina, Colombia and Panama. Dirty Maria have attracted a large local fan base who enjoy the group’s high-energy, dance-till-you drop performances. Dirty Maria first gained fame locally as winners of the Toronto LAMC conference in 2005. They have appeared on the Omni 2 TV series Metropia and as guests on various programs on TLN and they have been nominated for a Toronto Independent Music Award in 2008.

Dirty Maria have played locally at famed Toronto clubs such as the Horseshoe Tavern, El Mocambo and the Opera House, where they opened for Grammy-winning band, Kinky. They were recently working on new material while in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Currently they are working on their next album while playing some summer shows.
